Since 2002, Scholastic Inc. has partnered with the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), to create Heads Up: Real News About Drugs and Your Body. This education series provides teens with science-based materials from a trustworthy source about the effects of drugs and drug abuse on the brain and body. New teen articles and activities are created and distributed every school year through Scholastic’s classroom magazines as well as the Heads Up student website. Heads Up also produces Web-only online interactives.
