Naloxone Saves Lives

The opioid crisis is a complicated problem that requires many solutions. Scientists and health care professionals are working toward those solutions and helping to change the course of people’s lives. One result of their work is a medication called naloxone, which is saving lives every day. A recent study showed that the FDA approved naloxone nasal spray (brand name Nasal Narcan) delivers the medication more efficiently that improvised nasal spray devices. This video reviews when naloxone is used, how it is administered, and the way it works in the brain.
